Study Room Policy Overview
Study Rooms are intended for students to use for individual or group study.
Primary Use of Study Rooms
Study rooms may be used by TCC students, faculty, and staff. Study rooms may also be used for group meetings held by others at the discretion of the Library Management Team.
Reservations and Rules
Study rooms must be reserved online through the Library website or at a Library Information Desk during the current semester on a first-come, first-serve basis. Study Rooms may be reserved up to two weeks in advance. Study Room reservation may be extended to four weeks in advance at the discretion of the Library Management Team, such as during finals. The initial study room reservation may be for up to two hours. The patron may reserve additional time, in one-hour increments. Additional time may only be reserved within the last 15 minutes of the original reservation window if no other patron has reserved the room. Patrons must reserve additional increments of time at the Library Information Desk.
Food in Study Rooms
Patrons may have tidy snacks in the study rooms. Patrons must clean up after themselves, dispose of all waste in a trash can, and wipe up any debris or spills. Failure to leave a tidy room may negate future use.
Responsibility for Services Related to Study Rooms
The Assistant II – Circulation Team Leader at each campus is responsible for maintaining Library areas, including study rooms, in a neat and orderly appearance, excluding staff offices.
