TCC Hotspot and Laptop Loan Program

Semester-Long Checkout Program

TCC's Hotspot and Laptop Loan Program is designed to assist students who demonstrate a need for a hotspot and/or laptop.

Students must be enrolled in at least one class to be eligible.

Supply is limited. One hotspot can be checked out per household.

Students who check out a hotspot or laptop will be required to complete an agreement form.

Terms and Conditions

  • The student must fill out a user agreement form before checking out devices. Violations to this agreement may result in suspension of device borrowing privileges.
  • Devices are property of Tulsa Community College.
  • The student must comply with the College’s Computer Use Policy while using devices.
  • Devices should only be used for academic purposes.
  • If the student withdraws or drops all classes, the devices must be returned to the Metro Campus Library immediately.
  • If a device is lost or stolen, it is the student's responsibility to notify the Library at 918-595-7172 and complete a report to Campus Police immediately.
  • The student is responsible for supplying a bag or case for the laptop, and any necessary peripherals (e.g. mouse, headphones, printer, etc.).
  • The student is responsible for downloading and installing Office 365 from MyTCC.
  • The student is responsible for removing and erasing any personal documents, files, and login information before returning the laptop.
  • The College is not responsible for any lost data, documents, or applications the student may have saved to the laptop. Devices will be restored to default meaning everything will be erased upon return.
  • The student may download and install applications, but cannot otherwise alter the device. This includes alterations of the operating system, hardware, and application of external skins or stickers. Alterations will be considered damage and result in charges for repair.

Returning Devices

  • Devices are due back to the library on the Monday after the last day of the semester they are checked out.
  • Devices cannot be dropped in the library book drop! Return devices directly to a library staff person, only.
  • The student must delete any personal documents, files, and login information before returning laptops.
  • The student must allow 20 minutes for the return process. The return process will include a thorough check of the device condition using the checklist provided on the agreement form.
  • Devices will be checked out on a semester-by-semester basis.
    • The student may request to renew devices, without having to bring the devices back to the library, provided they are consistently enrolled.
    • It is the student’s responsibility to contact the library to renew devices each semester.
    • If the student fails to renew a device, it will be considered late or lost and replacement fees will be applied to the student’s bursar account.
  • A fee of $20.00 is assessed each day the device is late for up to seven days. After seven days, the device is considered lost and the cost to replace the device and associated components will be assessed to the Student’s bursar account. If the Student returns the device in good condition within 30 days of the date, the replacement fee will be removed, however, the late fees totaling $140.00 still apply.
  • The student is solely responsible for any loss or damages.
  • The student will be charged a replacement and/or fee for a missing and/or damaged device and accessories. Replacement fees are, but not limited to the following:

    • Laptop charging cord - $35
    • Cracked laptop screen repair - $200
    • Hotspot - $140
